Marketing, Advertising and Propaganda

Marketing, Advertising and Propaganda
What is the difference, in your opinion between marketing, advertising, and propaganda?

A major goal for all companies is to communicate the value of their goods and services and what they have to offer to customers and the general public and this, in a broad perspective, is called marketing. There are multiple ways companies can market what they have to offer. Marketing includes public relations and other forms of communication and advertising is just one of those other forms. Advertising is a specific and common way to market a business and companies pay for ads to get their names out to their specified target markets and persuade them to purchase their product.  Marketing and advertising are done to help a company and therefore are seen in a positive way. Propaganda on the other hand can be seen in a more negative way because its intent is to persuade the audience and this is sometimes through deception. Propaganda is a form of communication that can involve the use of false allegations while marketing and advertising should always be valid and there can be consequences when the information is false.

Marketing and advertising in my opinion are more related and similar to one another and propaganda is almost in its own category. Do you think propaganda is a form of marketing?
